Event planning can seem daunting, but with the right tools and resources, anyone can do it, even with a low or nonexistent budget. While some libraries may be cutting back on programming, others may see an opportunity to use low-budget methods to increase it, helping the community and positioning the Library as a valuable resource.

Regardless of position, all library staff is involved to a greater or lesser degree in planning programs for the Library. This presentation will highlight the key aspects of planning programs, such as locating partners, logistics and marketing, while keeping in mind the changes in today's economic climate.
