My name is Susan Serrano and I am from Chico, CA. I currently work as a Sr. Library Assistant for the Butte County Library, Chico Branch performing reference and circulation duties along with children's story times and youth services. I previously worked at the Oroville Branch Library as the Youth Services Coordinator for almost three years managing the Teen Volunteers, story times, and collection development. I received my MLIS from San Jose State University in 2009 and I am actively looking for my first Librarian position.

I hope to gain the leadership skills necessary for career advancement that will help to build my confidence in future projects and enhance my ability to work as a team. I am also hoping to meet new people and build new friendships.

In my spare time I enjoy reading young adult novels, spending time at the ocean with my wonderful husband, and riding my bike or walking in Bidwell Park.
